About Fairy Wonderful SEWN tutus... the "fluff and poof" of all fairy
wonderful tutus is created by using very large amounts of tulle using a
specific formula and "tutu maker" that I designed to determine the
correct amount of tulle per size.
By using this method I have created the perfect poofy tutu.. not see
through with a nice round bottom and full poofy top. The more the tutu
is danced in, played in, and dreamed in ( we have had my tutus even worn
to bed) the fluffier it will get!
All of our tutus are created using only the finest high quality "diamond
weave" tulle (not hex net) which meets the standards for childrens
apparel. Fairy Wonderful tutus are machine sewn just below the elastic
for optimum stretchability. This technique allows our tutus to stretch
several inches and are easy for even the smallest princess to put on
all by herself. Because they are sewn below the elastic and not
directly to the elastic (which greatly restricts the stretch), Fairy
Wonderful tutus will not end up in a crazy mess after just a few times
of wearing her new tutu!
SEWN or TIED????
What is the difference? Tied tutus are created with strips of tulle all tied or knotted around an elastic which can come undone.
Fairy Wonderful tutus are tied on an elastic and then sewn below the
elastic for durability and beauty. Traditional tied tutus can over time
expose the elastic and come undone. SEWN tutus are much more durable
and with the amount of tulle we jam pack onto my tutus it is essential
to sew them for durability and to "maintain" such a large amount of
tulle....after all, no one wants a skimpy tutu that will just fall
apart!
