Traditional sewn tutu dresses are created by tying individual strands of
tulle in several layers to an elastic and sewn for durability. This
style of dress is NOT lined so bloomers , leggings or even a slip can be
worn under the dress. These dresses NEED the tulle "maintained" for a
less messy look by combing the tulle strands periodically down with
your fingers and/or even spraying the tulle with starch or fabric
stiffener which we have done for ALL photographs in our store. These
dresses tend to bunch up on the child while wearing so if you would like
a no fuss dress we would recommend the slip dresses with overlays.
